[EDEN PRAIRIE, MN, June 13, 2024] USA Curling is pleased to announce the Duluth Curling Club as the host site of the 2024 U21 Junior Mixed Doubles Nationals. The winning team will represent the United States at the 2025 World Junior Mixed Doubles Championship.

The championship will be open-entry, and run from November 29 through December 1, 2024. Teams can register for the event here. The event format will depend upon the number of total entries. Age requirements match those of the U21 Junior Men’s & Women’s Nationals.

"The World Junior Mixed Doubles was announced just recently, so we had to move very quickly to plan a Nationals,” said Dean Gemmell, CEO of USA Curling. “We are grateful to 2023 World Mixed Doubles champions Cory Thiesse and Korey Dropkin for organizing last year’s inaugural CK Cup, and agreeing to let this year’s event serve as our national championship.”

An eight-sheet facility that can accommodate a large field, the Duluth Curling Club has been a strong supporter of junior curling and has produced many champions.

Gemmell added, “Looking beyond 2024-25, we hope this national championship can help fuel junior Mixed Doubles events across the country and provide more competitive opportunities for young players.”
