QUALIFICATION PROCEDURES 2023 MEN’S AND WOMEN’S NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIPS

The 2023 U.S. Men’s and Women’s Curling National Championships will be returning to the USA Curling competition calendar in February 2023 with exact dates and location to be announced.
The Championships will welcome eight teams in each field to compete for the 2023 U.S. Men’s and Women’s Curling National Championship title and earn berths to represent the United States at the 2023 World Men’s and Women’s Curling Championships.
To be eligible for qualification for the 2023 U.S. Men’s and Women’s National Championships, teams must have three of four or three of five players. Eight teams in each field can earn berths through the following ways:
One (1) team will earn a berth as the previous season’s World Championship representative.
One (1) team will earn a berth as the 2022 Team USA Olympic representative.
One (1) team will earn a berth as the current representative at the World Junior Curling Championships.
Three (3) teams will earn berths as the highest-ranking teams, not already qualified, from the YTD World Curling Federation World Team Ranking system by Dec. 20th, 2022.
Two (2) teams will earn berths from two identified Qualifying Events.
The highest finishing team in each Qualifying Event, not already qualified, will earn a berth.
Qualifying Events: All qualifying event draws will be seeded based on the WCF World Team Rankings—organizers will collaborate with USA Curling. If any qualifying event is canceled, that berth will be awarded to the next highest-ranked team from the WCF World Team Rankings, as of the second-to-last Tuesday in December of the current curling season.

Upon qualification, teams will be contacted directly with registration information for the 2023 U.S. Men’s and Women’s Curling National Championships.
