USA Curling and the United States Junior Curling Association (USJRCA) will join forces this summer to continue the long-standing tradition of summer Curling Camp in the United States.  This year there will be camps in Chaska and Blaine, Minnesota from July 19-23, 2021.

“Everyone at the United States Junior Curling Association (USJRCA) is excited to be working with USA Curling to provide the highest quality camp experience possible this summer,” said Michael Graves, USJRCA Vice-President and Camp Director. “This collaboration will allow our organizations to work together to promote our sport and ensure the future success of junior curling in the United States.”

USA Curling will join the camp, which has already been filled, by providing resources in the form of coaching personnel, National Team athletes, workshops, prizes, and roundtables to help further enhance the robust experience that has been created by the USJRCA.

“USJRCA has been doing an incredible job at building junior curling in the United States,” said Jessica Schultz, Director of Junior Sport Performance. “We’re excited to work collaboratively to strengthen junior curling in the United States by using the expertise of the USJRCA, paired with USA Curling’s resources.”

The two organizations will also be partnering to host a junior bonspiel at the conclusion of camp honoring long-time junior curling coach, Bev Schroeder.  The first annual Bev Schroeder Memorial Junior Bonspiel will be held at the Chaska Curling Center in Chaska, Minnesota on July 23-25, 2021.

Scheduling a bonspiel immediately following the conclusion of camp will allow junior curlers the chance to immediately implement their learnings from camp. On the heels of the cancelation of the 2021 U18 National Championships, this event will also provide U18 athletes the opportunity to network and play in games.
