On April 23-30, 2022, Sentry Curling Center, home of the Stevens Point Curling Club, will host the 2022 U.S. Junior Curling National Championships.

The Championships will welcome the top U21 (under 21 years of age) men’s and women’s teams from across the United States to compete in a round robin before advancing four teams to the page playoffs in their respective fields.

At the conclusion of the Championships, one junior men’s and one junior women’s team will be crowned champions.

In addition to the title, the winning teams will earn berths to represent the United States at the corresponding 2023 World Junior Curling Championships.

From the date of winning the 2022 U.S. Junior National Curling Championships, the winning teams will be included in the National Team program through the completion of the World Junior Championship.

“USA Curling is thrilled to bring these Championships to Stevens Point, an area our organization called home for many years and a market that is incredibly passionate and essential for our sport,” said USA Curling CEO Jeff Plush. “The chance for young athletes to compete in Championships on the ice is so important and we are grateful to the club, volunteers, and participants for making it possible.”

The newly constructed Sentry Curling Center, home of the Stevens Point Curling Club in Plover, Wisconsin, opened its doors in 2020 and boasts four sheets of pristine curling ice along with an expansive warm room with second floor viewing.
