[EDEN PRAIRIE, MN, February 10, 2025]  The Mixed Doubles Olympic Team Trials get underway with pre-event practices and and an evening session on Monday, February 17th, at Rock Creek Curling in Lafayette, CO. The top ten teams in the country will compete for the opportunity to represent the United States at the 2025 World Mixed Doubles Championship in Fredericton, NB, and at the Games in Cortina in 2026.

Throughout the week of Feb. 17-21, USA Curling partner Stadium Sports will produce all five games from all nine draws, with streaming on Peacock, along with Page Playoff games on Friday, Feb. 21. There will be one feature game per session. 2018 Olympic Gold Medalist Tyler George will be joined in the booth by sportscaster Renee Washington.

On the final two days of coverage, Feb. 22-23, CNBC and Peacock will present the semifinal and the best Two-of-Three final. Jason Knapp and Kevin Martin will have the call. All Mixed Doubles Curling Olympic Trials coverage will also stream via NBCOlympics.com and the NBC Sports app. All told, there will be over 100 hours of live curling coverage.

The field features no shortage of talent or Olympic pedigree. The 2023 World Champions, Cory Thiesse and Korey Dropkin, are looking to earn their spot in the Olympics for the first time, while Team Hamilton (Becca Hamilton and brother Matt Hamilton) will be working to defend their 2024 national title and return to the Olympics—they were Team USA when the Mixed Doubles discipline debuted at the 2018 Games in Korea. John Shuster, a teammate of Hamilton’s and the 2018 gold medalist in four-person play, will also be in the field competing with 2022 Olympian Aileen Geving, while two-time Olympian Nina Roth will be joined by Kroy Nernberger.

Dropkin’s teammate Andrew Stopera will also be competing in Colorado with Sarah Anderson, whose twin sister Taylor Anderson-Heide will team up with Ben Richardson, part of the team led by Daniel Casper that won silver at the recently concluded Men’s & Women’s National Championships. Anderson-Heide played lead on Team Paterson in that event, earning a gold medal when they captured the Women’s title.

There will be a local contingent at Rock Creek as well—Clare Moores & Lance Wheeler are Denver-area residents, as are Brianna Weldon and Sean Franey.

“We thank the United States Olympic & Paralympic Committee and our partners at NBC for all they’re doing to make these Trials a special event,” noted USA Curling CEO Dean Gemmell. “We’re also thrilled to work on another high-level competition with the team at Rock Creek Curling, who are known around the country for their extraordinary facility and their amazing hospitality.”
