MEMBERS’ ASSEMBLY HOST HOTEL CONFIRMED, COURSE AND SKILLS CLINICS REGISTRATION OPEN

[EDEN PRAIRIE, MN, July 10th, 2024] A host hotel for the Members’ Assembly and Members’ Meeting at the Chaska Curling and Community Center in Chaska, MN, has been confirmed, and registrations for all events is open.

The host hotel is the Fairfield Inn & Suites in Eden Prairie, and attendees are can book rooms here.

Members’ Assembly activity gets underway on Friday with a Level 1 Officiating course, a Game Scoring course that is part of the new USA Curling Game Scoring and Analytics certification, and a panel discussion on sweeping techniques that can be attended online or in-person. Friday also includes the annual Members’ Meeting, scheduled for 7 PM CT in the Chaska Event Center. Information about the Members’ Meeting and the voting process is also available online.

Registrations are now open for all programming offered during the Members’ Assembly, including the 45-minute Small Group Skills Clinics on Saturday, August 10th. These sessions, led by National Team athletes and coaches, will cover Delivery Analysis, Team Systems and Communications, and Sweeping and Line Management. Three sessions will be held from 11:30 AM-12:15 PM, and three sessions will be held from 12:30-1:15 PM. The group size for these sessions is limited so if you’re interested, register as soon as possible.

A Coach Conference with Level 2 certification, a Level 2 Instructor course, Level 2 Course Conductor training, and a Level 2 Officiating course round out the weekend programming. Anyone who registers for the Coach Conference will need to complete the free online modules for Level 1 Coach certification—those will be available shortly.

Team McCormick (Debbie McCormick, Allison Pottinger, Ann Swisshelm, Tracy Sachtjen, Joni Cotten), World Champions in 2003, will also be officially recognized as members of the USA Curling Hall of Fame on Saturday evening. That ceremony will take place at 6 PM on, prior to the 7:30 PM draw of the Mixed Doubles Pre-Trials, and all are encouraged to attend and celebrate their accomplishment.
