Paul Pustovar

Paul Pustovar began curling in high school in 1967 at Chisholm curling Club in Minnesota. Since then, he has competed at 21 men’s national championships, capturing national titles in 1977, ‘80, ‘91, ‘98 and 2002. At the Men’s World Championship in 1991, he won the bronze medal and in 1977 and 2002, he finished fourth. In 1998 and 2002, Paul was named USA Curling Male Athlete of the year. Paul’s team won the senior national title in 2009 and finished second at the World Senior Men’s Championship. In 2007, he coached the Todd Birr team at the world championships, bringing home the bronze.

He is commended for his high level of standards and dedication to the sport of curling and local community, his expertise and knowledge of the game, as well as his demeanor both on and off the ice.
